Tip of the Month

Tip #1: If pinking shears are getting dull but can't get them sharpened here is a quick fix.

Fold aluminum foil together - about 5 layers - make several cuts with shears across foil. This will sharpen them temporarily. I have done this several times and it does not hurt the shears according to the guy that sharpens them.

Tip #2: A cheaper way of filling hand crafted bears, bunnies or any other project that requires filler beads for weight use clay kitty litter. This is very inexpensive and I have found it to work great for all of my projects!

Project of the Month: Celeste-The Starlight Angel

Celeste - The Starlight Angel -

These exquisite angel dolls all feature hand painted porcelain heads and porcelain hands. Each doll is constructed in such a way as to stand on it's own with no separate doll stand required. Angel dolls are not just for holiday decor anymore. Add these heirloom quality creations to your permanent doll collection.

Sewing Connection

QUICK AND EASY SEWING PROJECTS: For quick sewing of simple shapes. Make copy of pattern. Pin pattern directly to fabric. Set sewing machine to small stitch length. Sew directly on pattern line on paper. Tear away paper when complete. Trim excess fabric close to sewing line. Works great for sewing puppet body patterns
