Ann Shamash Creative Clay Concepts

Ann's sculptural art is made from intricately detailed stoneware clay. All pieces are made by hand and show a spirit of sentiment, warmth, and charm. She uses antique wooden batik printers to produce wonderful patterns and textures that give her clay sculptures the tactile look of expensive woven fabrics. Ann Shamash holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a specialty in sculpture and a Masters in Art Education. With over 30 years experience in the craft's field, she recently published a video on marketing crafts. This imaginative artisan has become well known for her exquisite and tasteful palette of colors ranging from soft pastels to rich old world patinas. Look for her ingenious signature of imbedding jewels in her art.

The wooden batik patterns that she uses came from India in the 1960's when her cousin Barry was there to help in the Peace Corp. The conception and execution of each of her pieces comes with a hope for peace and caring in the world.

Little Woman

These are small shelf sitters. They come holding a book, purse, flowers, or Torah. They can fit on the couch or chair. The couches and chairs are in miniature and are fancy, decorated with pearls and fringe. Also available are fancy pillows with pearls and fringe which have pockets in the back for diamond rings, money, baby teeth..... The Little Woman displays nicely with the chair, couches and pillows.
